Call for Papers (Main Conference)

The Second Summit on Music Artificial Intelligence (SOMI2023) will be held on October 28-30, 2023, at the Central Conservatory of Music, Beijing, China. The conference will call for papers in all directions of music AI.

Topics

  Main Conference - Science and Technology  

Paper topics include but are not limited to:
  • Novel music AI datasets, models, tasks, and evaluation methods
  • Interdisciplinary research of music and brain science, neuroscience, and psychology
  • Research on artificial intelligence and music healing technologies and clinical applications
  • Big data modeling technology and quantitative analysis technology for music
  • Novel music information retrieval technology
  • Intelligent music composing and producing technology
  • Novel industry applications, industry standards and prototype of music artificial intelligence
  • Music artificial intelligence and music perception and music aesthetics
Some of the accepted papers in science and technology will be recommended to the special issue of IEEE Transactions on Computational Social Systems (Q1, IF 5.48).

  Main Conference - Liberal Arts  

Paper topics include but are not limited to:
  • Music composition and artificial intelligence
  • Music presentation and artificial intelligence
  • Music reception and artificial intelligence
  • Philosophy - aesthetics of music artificial intelligence
Some of the accepted papers in liberal arts will be recommended to Chinese core journals.

Paper Submission Requirements

  1. Template   

·Papers in science and technology adopt the IEEE conference paper template (no more than 6 pages excluding the references).
·Papers in liberal arts adopt the template of the Journal of the Central Conservatory of Music and refer to the submission guidelines of the Journal of the Central Conservatory of Music.

  2. Review   

The paper review will be double-blinded. Papers that have been submitted or published to other conferences or journals are not allowed for submission. Manuscripts violating the above requirements will be rejected by the conference.

  3. Submission

  4. Important Dates   

Paper submission deadline: October 16, 2023
Notification of acceptance: October 22, 2023
Camera-ready papers due: November 6, 2023
